Good Riddance

cd7164o.jpg

The 90 degree temps look to be history now according to the forecasters. I drove up to Clingman's Dome Sunday to say farewell to Summer. The temp was a warm 67 with no wind which is unusual for the Dome. I'm a summertime kind of guy and dread the winters, but I have to admit this year at least I'm glad to see this one is in the history books.

DSK:

Summer is my favorite season, too. But with one requirement: rain!
Preferably daily cloudbursts.

Spring and fall are my favorites. It's nice to say goodbye to the daily 100+ temps. Unfortunately, the drought is still with us. Great pix - wish I was in the NC mountains!
