All in the Family

birds232.jpg

This spot looks like a big mud puddle but is actually part of a marshy creek in Anastasia State Park. I went back a few hours later and this mound was completely under water. After thinking about it for a second I had a doh! moment. It's the tide dummy.

Are they all the same type of bird with different coloring?

fletch:

Far left is a snowy egret, king of the hill is a wood stork. Far right is a little blue heron? not sure, some kind of heron. The family is the greater bird family I guess, not sure if they are first cousins.
