Looks like they were "aiming" for you.
Is it just me, or does it seem that Gulls are larger than they used to be?

They were aiming for the crackers I was tossing up to them. Don't know about gull size increases being from TN. There are plenty of them here tho and other healthy bird populations. They might actually benefit from global warming.
