In a time of recession, millions losing their homes, inflation, and general uncertainty in the world, I quit my job with benefits, good pay, and security. Looks like taking pics and barking at the moon are my only career options now.
If I told you what it takes
To reach the highest high,
You'd laugh and say nothings that simple
But you've been told many times before
Messiahs pointed to the door
And no one had the guts to leave the temple!
Im free,
And freedom tastes of reality.

Job security can be all too transient in this day and age anyway. Better to do something that doesn't drive you crazy. You only live once.

Congrats and good luck. You've got courage, man...go for it!

We only have the day at hand. We can not predict what will come tomorrow. That which we call security, might not necessarily be that.
Never let a job suck the life out of you. Enjoy life...suck the marrow out of it.
Namaste, Fletch. Namaste.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do from now on. Just as long as you keep taking those beautiful pictures (and I hope they're from the Smokies again soon)...

Kudos to you for knowing that you needed to change and for having the guts to do it. Selfishly, I'm also hoping for more wonderful Smokies pictures.
May your spirit be revitalized and your coffers remain full.
