Diving

pelican556c.jpg

Sometimes I'm suspicious about the way pelicans fish. They fly up high over the water and when the prey is spotted, they nose dive at full speed making a big splash. I really suspect they just fly up high and dive in just for the joy of it. If they happen to catch a fish then all the better.
