Why the name Smokies Light?
Most of the images were captured in or near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The landscape and light of the Smokies offers unlimited opportunity for photography and fine art.
What type of camera gear is used?
Canon and Nikon digital SLRs with a wide assortment of lenses and filters.
Are the images Photoshopped?
Always. The image is captured by the camera in RAW format, a digital negative. Then a workflow is applied similar to what would be done in a film darkroom. Depending on the image and mood of the artist a wide variety of artistic filters may be applied to fulfill the artistic vision.
What type of printer is used?
Prints are created with Chromira technology. Chromira is an all digital printer specially designed for digital images. The technology allows for large prints made from digital files with little or no loss of sharpness or detail. The paper has a life of 60 years with reasonable care and can be matte or glossy finish. Please specify finish when ordering.
What about custom sizes?
The sizes offered mat well to standard 16x20 or 18x24 frames. Any size up to 30" in one dimension may be ordered however. In all cases the aspect ratio is maintained in order to avoid stretching or cropping. Please send an email to discuss custom sizes and pricing.
How long does it take?
Prints are made to order, so please allow ten business days to receive your print.
Can I get a refund?
Are you serious? Yes, just return the valuable print worth a fortune after I'm dead and you will receive a full refund.
Do you offer tobacco products?
No, but you are welcome to smoke while browsing the galleries. |
